Imène Hadji, Medical Oncologist and OncoDaily Hub Lead, shared on LinkedIn:
“Seeing my words in print at ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology this week was a moment I won’t forget.
My article, ‘What the Scan Couldn’t Tell Me,’ is now published in CancerWorld magazine, as part of the European School of Oncology College Voices writing contest.
It started as a 300-word proposal on a question every oncologist faces: how do we really put patients first when the clinic is full and time is short? It became a story about what we only learn by listening, the things no scan or lab result can show us.
Writing it reminded me that medicine is not only about data and guidelines. It is also about stories, and sharing ours can help the next colleague feel less alone in this work.
Thank you to ESO College and the CancerWorld team for the opportunity, and to everyone who supported me along the way. If you’re an ESO College member, I’d encourage you to submit a proposal in the next edition. Your voice matters.
