“It was an honor to participate in Immuno 2026 in the closing session, ‘Immunotherapy for the World: Bridging Science, Education, and Access’ along International leaders.
I was grateful to share Egypt’s experience in expanding access to immunotherapy and to discuss the challenges faced by patients in LMICs, including access, affordability, workforce and infrastructure.
My sincere thanks to OncoDaily Gevorg Tamamyan, Shushan Hovsepyan for continuously creating platforms that bring the global oncology community together.
This discussion core reflects why I am seeking to serve on the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) Board of Directors: to strengthen collaboration across regions and ensure that the perspectives and needs of LMICs are part of the global cancer control conversation.
I look forward to continuing this journey with colleagues and UICC member organisations as we work together for more equitable cancer care.
UICC General Assembly will elect the 2026-2028 Board starting 13 to 20 October 2026.”
