“What happens to Europe’s cancer ambition when the funding framework changes?
As the EU shapes the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034, critical decisions will determine whether the progress achieved through Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan can be sustained and expanded.
Should cancer remain a dedicated funding priority? Is there a need for new financing mechanisms? How can Europe continue to invest in research, innovation and equitable access while reducing inequalities across Member States?
These are some of the questions that will be at the heart of the roundtable discussion during ELLOK’s 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer: Policy, Research and Funding Strategies, bringing together Members of the European Parliament, Greek government representatives and leading voices from across the European cancer community.
The next MFF is not only about budgets. It is about Europe’s long-term commitment to cancer patients and citizens.
