Harish Nagaraj, Head of Nuclear Medicine and In-Charge of the Integrated Molecular Imaging Centre (IMIC) at KUTRRH, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“‘Kenya’s theranostics era is here.’
Lutetium-177 therapy is now increasingly available locally at centres including KUTRRH, AKUH, HCG CCK, RFH and recently Nairobi West bringing advanced targeted radionuclide therapy closer to patients in Kenya and across the region.
For many eligible patients with prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumours, this means access to treatment closer to home, with less need to travel abroad.
A major step forward for precision cancer care in East Africa.”
