Guilherme Franceschini Machado, Vice-Tutoring Coordinator and Education Mentor at Meta-Analysis Academy, Project Leader Mentor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Thrilled to share two pieces of exciting news from the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC 2026), taking place in Seoul, South Korea, September 12–15, 2026.
I have been selected as a winning finalist for the Developing Countries Education Award. An honor that means a great deal to me as a researcher committed to advancing oncology science from a global perspective.
My abstract, ‘Immunochemotherapy in Resectable Stage II–III Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Real-World Meta-Analysis.’ has been accepted for Poster Presentation at the conference.
This work examines real-world outcomes of neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy in resectable NSCLC, a rapidly evolving area with significant implications for surgical and multidisciplinary oncology practice. I’m grateful to my incredible Brazilian Meta-Analysis team from Meta-Analysis Academy, Mariana Noronha, Isadora Mamede, and, mainly, Paula Duarte D’Ambrosio for her mentorship in making this research possible.
Looking forward to connecting with colleagues and thought leaders in thoracic oncology in Seoul. If you’ll be attending IASLC WCLC 2026, let’s connect!”
