Giuseppe Caruso, Medical Consultant at The European Institute of Oncology, shared on LinkedIn:
“My postcards from ESMO2026
What a congress! Intense days in Madrid, packed with outstanding data in gynecologic oncology. Here are my key takeaways, in 3 postcards (+ 1 with breaking news on Rina-S) that I want to share with you.
Breaking news – Rina-S in PROC
Indeed another big advance these days came from outside the congress halls: the phase 3 RAINFOL-02 trial of rinatabart sesutecan met both PFS and OS in PROC, regardless of FRα expression: 71% reduction in the risk of progression and 57% in the risk of death vs chemotherapy (ITT). And the benefit held in the primary analysis set (PAS), where FRα-high patients had to be pretreated with mirvetuximab (PFS HR 0.33, OS HR 0.44): an insightful signal for ADC sequencing.
Can’t wait to see the full results.”
