Frederic Ivan Ting, Member Board of Directors at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Alumni Association, posted on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his his colleagues co-authored, adding:
“The Choosing Wisely Philippines campaign is an initiative that identifies low-value or potentially harmful practices that are relevant to patients with cancer in the Philippines. The main purpose of these initiatives is to facilitate quality improvement systems and maximise patient outcomes.
Ever since the Choosing Wisely Philippines was launched by the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology in 2023, I have incorporated this to my lectures in Oncology.
Every year, I ask my students what their favorite CWP is, and how they can contribute to cancer care. Their answers continue to inspire us to continue on our mission of teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming the lives of our future Lasallian physicians.
Link to the CWP conference proceedings and presentations.”
