“Earlier this week at American Association for Cancer Research’s Annual Meeting, Anjee Davis, our CEO, co-led a presentation alongside Kristen Dahlgren of the Cancer Vaccine Coalition, joined by a powerhouse panel including Julie Fleshman, CEO of Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and Sharon Rivera Sanchez, CEO of TRIALS OF COLOR: “Reducing Research Friction: How Scientists and Survivors Can Accelerate Progress.”
Cancer Research is often slowed not only by scientific challenges, but by barriers across the research continuum—from priority setting and study design to recruitment, participation, and sharing results. This session brought survivors and scientists together to examine how reducing those points of friction can improve trial efficiency, broaden representation, and move breakthroughs to patients faster.
At FightCRC, we believe patient and survivor voices must be integrated earlier and more meaningfully into research. When studies are designed around real world patient needs, we can build research programs that are more inclusive, feasible, and impactful.”
