Evelyn Yi Ting Wong: Discussing the Latest Evidence in the Management of dMMR/MSI Colorectal Cancer

Evelyn Yi Ting Wong, Consultant, Division of Medical Oncology at National Cancer Centre Singapore, shared a post on LinkedIn:

The MSI CRC Collective brought together 84 colorectal surgeons, medical oncologists, gastroenterologists, genetic counsellors and trainees from both the public and private sectors to discuss the latest evidence in the management of dMMR/MSI colorectal cancer.

It was an absolute privilege to have organized this meeting together with Prof Kong and Robert Walsh. Looking back, it is incredible to see months of planning come together in a room filled with such engaged discussions and genuine collaboration

A heartfelt thank you to the Singapore Society of Oncology (SSO) for providing the platform to make this meeting possible, and to our supporting academic partners MSD, BMS, and Gene Solutions for supporting this educational initiative.

A special thank you to all our speakers, who generously took time away from their busy clinical and academic commitments to prepare and deliver such insightful, thought-provoking talks. Your expertise and willingness to share your experiences were what made this meeting so impactful. Joanne Ngeow Winson, Tan Koo Si-Lin, Wei Peng Yong, Jonathan Lee, Ashwini Wijeweera M. logaswari.

To all the participants, thank you for your enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and active participation throughout the day. The lively discussions were a true highlight. We learned from colleagues across different disciplines, openly shared how we each approach challenging clinical scenarios, debated some of the more controversial aspects of managing dMMR/MSI colorectal cancer, and ultimately left with new perspectives that will help us care for our patients better.

These multidisciplinary conversations are exactly what move our field forward.

Looking forward to many more opportunities to bring our community together for meaningful academic discussions, collaboration, and ultimately better care for our patients.”
