“I am very happy to support Rebecca Dent for President-Elect of ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology.
I have been very privileged to have worked with Dr. Dent as her clinical fellow, and subsequently as a colleague over the course of my professional career. She has been an inspiring leader, mentor, and role model. An absolute badass woman who leads with clarity, conviction, generosity, and purpose. She has always made time for me regardless how busy her schedule is – even if its just for a cup of coffee while running into one another in the wards.
What has always stood out to me is her 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 and 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦. Dr Dent is deeply involved in every endeavour she takes on and is always ready to contribute, support, and bring people together. Her leadership is not only defined by academic and clinical excellence, but also by her inclusivity, her commitment to mentorship, and her ability to 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔, 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.
Her contributions to breast cancer research, clinical trial development, and international oncology collaboration have had a major impact, particularly in strengthening oncology across Asia and beyond.
