European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Feedback matters. Most of us are asked for it constantly.
But in cancer care, patient feedback can do far more than measure satisfaction. It can help shape better care.
That’s the promise of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures, or PROMs: structured information from patients about their symptoms, quality of life, treatment side effects and daily functioning.
Used well, PROMs can support better conversations between patients and clinicians, strengthen cancer clinical trials, inform regulatory and policy decisions, and help health systems understand what truly matters to people living with and beyond cancer.
On 13 July, our next Community 365 Roundtable will explore how Europe can make better use of patient-reported outcomes across the cancer care pathway.
The discussion will look at how PROMs can:
- Improve clinical care
- Generate more meaningful evidence in research
- Support decision-makers
- Bring the patient voice more directly into patient-centred cancer care
Registrations are open for this timely discussion on the next phase of patient-centred cancer care: Community 365 Roundtable: ‘Taking a global lead on patient-reported outcome measurement. What’s holding Europe back?”
