Erika Hamilton, Chief Development Officer, Late Phase and Director, Breast Cancer Research Program at Sarah Cannon Research Institute, shared on LinkedIn:
“On World Breast Cancer Research Day, I’m reminded that progress starts with research.
Every breakthrough represents countless hours of work – and behind that work are people hoping for earlier detection, better treatments, less side effects, fewer losses, and more tomorrows.
There is still so much to learn, but every day, every month, and every year we make an incredible amount of progress towards this goal.
I’m grateful for the researchers and healthcare professionals I see every day at Sarah Cannon Research Institute and at SCRI Oncology Partners working toward better answers, better treatments, and better outcomes. I’m also thankful for our external partners – our patients, colleagues in pharma, our regulators, CROs, advocacy organizations, and non-profits.
Today, I’m celebrating the progress we’ve made and supporting the continued investment in research that can change what’s possible for generations to come.”
