“Every Fingerprint Tells a Story. Every Woman Deserves to Be Celebrated!
Some days remind us why we do what we do, and last Sunday was certainly one of them!
On October 18, our Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center (BCCC), National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, was filled with smiles, laughter, warmth, beautiful emotions, and, above all, the incredible spirit of our Breast Cancer Survivors!
As part of our Pink October 2026 activities, we organized a very special event under the inspiring theme ‘Together on Your Journey’ celebrating women, their courage, their resilience, and their lives beyond cancer.
But this was much more than an awareness event.
It was about putting our philosophy of patient-centered cancer care into action!
Through interactive educational sessions and dedicated wellness corners covering women’s health, nutrition, psychological support, dermatology, dental care, physiotherapy, physical activity, beauty, and self-care, we wanted to deliver one simple message:
Cancer care is not only about treating a disease. It is about caring for a person, restoring confidence, supporting well-being, and celebrating life!
One of the most touching moments for me was our ‘Every Fingerprint Tells a Story’ tree, where each fingerprint became part of a beautiful collective symbol of strength, individuality, hope, and shared journeys.
I strongly believe that the true success of a cancer center is measured not only by the treatments we provide, but also by the lives we touch and the humanity we bring to every patient encounter.
A heartfelt thank you to our extraordinary BCCC team!
To every physician, nurse, healthcare professional, organizer, volunteer, and member of our multidisciplinary team who contributed to making this beautiful afternoon possible, your passion, creativity, teamwork, and compassion are what transform our vision into reality.
Special appreciation to our generous sponsors and supporters:
Limitless Naturals, EVA Cosmetics – Egypt, Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts El Tahrir Cairo, RG by Ganna, Alpha Fit, Breadfast, and Eden Soul.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us create such a meaningful experience for our ladies.
And most importantly, to our amazing breast cancer survivors: Thank you!
Thank you for your trust, your smiles, your strength, and for continuously reminding us that behind every medical record is a unique human story deserving of dignity, compassion, and hope.
Pink October may last one month, but our commitment to our patients, their quality of life, and their survivorship journey lasts every single day of the year.
Because beyond treating cancer, we are here to celebrate life.”
