The Egyptian Drug Authority (EMA) organized a scientific day to exchange experiences between pharmacists working in health institutions in the field of breast oncology and cancer, coinciding with the global celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as part of the activities of the Excellence and Exchange of Experiences Platform initiative at the Egyptian Drug Authority.
The scientific day aims to raise the efficiency of pharmacists and promote the exchange of experiences among specialists in this vital field. The events witnessed the presentation of a number of case studies and the discussion of appropriate clinical pharmaceutical interventions, with the participation of a group of professors and experts specialized in breast and gynecological oncology.
Pharmacists from a number of health institutions participated in the scientific day, including the General Directorate of Pharmaceutical Affairs at the Ministry of Health and Population, the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers (Al-Salam Oncology Hospital and Mit Ghamr Tumor Center), the General Authority for Health Insurance (Nasr City Cancer Center), the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes (Matareya Teaching Hospital), the Ismailia Health Care Authority Branch (Ismailia Medical Complex), as well as Cairo University Hospitals (National Cancer Institute in the Gulf Mouth and the National Cancer Institute in the Community), and Ain University Hospitals Shams (Demerdash Hospital), in addition to Baheya Hospital.
This comes within the framework of the Egyptian Drug Authority’s continuous efforts to raise the level of pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical services, and develop the skills of Egyptian pharmacists, in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of health care, and reflects the spirit of cooperation and integration of efforts between state institutions to achieve a holistic approach in the dissemination and development of pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical practices within the Egyptian health system.”
