Eleonora Dondossola: New R01 Funding Advances Research in Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Eleonora Dondossola, Assistant Professor in the Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology – Research, Division of Cancer Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:

“Big celebrations for my first R01!

This funding will allow us to investigate mechanisms of disease progression and resistance to standard-of-care treatments, with the ultimate goal of improving treatment strategies for patients with advanced bone-metastatic kidney cancer.

I am deeply grateful to my co-principal investigators, extended team, family and especially to my amazing lab members, whose creativity, dedication, and hard work make this research possible.

Their creativity does not stop at the lab bench: it was even on full display in the wonderfully nerdy cake they designed to celebrate this moment!

Very humbled, very excited and ready to turn it into meaningful science with the ultimate goal to improve patient outcomes.”
