“The Community Oncology Global Congress 2026
We spend a lot of time hoping technology will fix the structural problems of cancer care. But the strongest evidence in digital oncology is rarely about the software. It is about closing a fundamental communication gap, rather than trying to replace a clinician.
Recently, I delivered my first ever speaker presentation in an international forum at the Community Oncology Global Congress 2026. Our session unpacked the mechanics of building effective multidisciplinary teams in community practice.

Three days… 36 hours of discussions… Greater than 100 Speakers from across the world… More than 50,000 viewers reached online. Organised by OncoDaily, the Congress brought the global oncology community together to share experiences, exchange knowledge, and discuss the real-world challenges shaping cancer care.
In my presentation on ‘Digital innovation and regional networks’, the core argument was straightforward. Fragmentation is not just the physical distance between hospitals. It is a potential failure at every single interface of multimodality care.
It is incredibly easy to confuse a tumour board with a true multidisciplinary team. One is a consultative meeting; the other is a formal, collaborative structure. We can design complex hub-and-spoke networks, but if a local clinic lacks basic diagnostic inputs before a meeting begins, that network is just an expensive mailing list. Trust and clinical consensus do not magically transmit over bandwidth.

Later in the congress, I joined a live panel to debate the realities of deploying AI for clinical decision support. Arturo LoAIza-Bonilla did a brilliant moderation of the entire session. Stepping back to critically analyze workflow transformations with global peers is a great reminder of the value of academic exchanges. The clinical tools change, but the necessity of vetting them together remains constant.
Grateful to Dr Amitabh Ray sir for his novel ideas regarding how I could design my talk….indebted to the OncoDaily team for making such a congress happen….
Humbled at how each of them took time out of their busy schedule to accommodate me. Would love to keep contributing to the community.
Our overarching goal must be connecting expertise, not simply relocating patients.
I would be very interested to hear from those doing the heavy lifting on the ground.”
