David Jenkinson, Member of the General Assembly of the Accelerate Multi-Stakeholder Platform, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“When I started at LifeArc, it was clear that we would not be able to address every challenge in paediatric oncology – we needed to prioritise.
In January 2024, we asked clinicians from ITCC Consortium, SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) and Children’s Oncology Group what they felt were the biggest unmet needs in children’s cancer. The responses were ranked and we set out to proactively address the cancers ranked highest.
With ITCC Consortium, Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Cancer Research Horizons and the patient advocates from the Cancer Grand Challenges Team Protect, we explored the targets, modalities and clinical combinations in the Paediatric Therapeutic Development Workshops.
The British Journal of Cancer is publishing these workshops as a series to ensure the information is available for anyone interested in drug discovery and development in children’s cancer.
The latest on rhabdomyosarcoma is available now.
With a shout out to Joe Baxter who did much of the heavy lifting.”
