Survivors Must be Included in Shaping Programs and the Future of Care – Childhood Cancer International

Childhood Cancer International shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What do survivors really need?

That was the core question at the Survivors’ workshop on CCI Day at the Africa Regional Conference.

The discussion was planned and led by local survivors, who shared their perspectives and experiences.

During the breakout sessions, we spoke about the realities survivors face, the barriers across Africa, and how we can strengthen survivor-led advocacy.

Lived experience matters. Survivors must be included in shaping programs, policies, and the future of care – because they know best what they need.

During the discussion, our SurNet members also introduced our survivors’ community, strengthening connections across the region.”
