World Child Cancer on Advocacy for Childhood Cancer in Global Health Systems

World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:

“In 2025, we raised our voices to drive real change.

Across global health platforms, national forums, and professional networks, World Child Cancer worked to ensure childhood cancer is recognised as a priority within non-communicable disease (NCD) financing, universal health coverage, and health system strengthening efforts.

This year, advocacy meant:

  1.  Contributing to global initiatives improving access to essential childhood cancer medicines.
  2. Engaging at the World Health Assembly to advance collaboration and financing discussions.
  3. Championing workforce development, including nursing leadership and psychosocial care.
  4. Supporting national platforms where children’s voices and lived experience shaped policy conversations.

Progress happens when expertise from programme countries informs global decision-making.

In 2025, we were proud to help bridge that gap, bringing frontline experience into the rooms where systems are shaped.

See how advocacy made an impact.”
