The CEC, Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Day 1 at IARC60 conference in Lyon included the session ‘Early onset cancers, challenges and opportunities‘ featuring presentations and a panel discussion exploring global trends in early-onset cancers, including an engaging presentation from Peter Sarich from the The Cancer Elimination Collaboration (CEC), Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney titled ‘Understanding trends in risk factor exposure in relation to trends in early-onset cancers (EOC) in Australia’.

Across the week, the CEC team will also be presenting a range of posters and sessions covering cancer epidemiology, cervical cancer elimination planning, modelling and the global impact of conflict on cancer outcomes.

The team is also showcasing work from the EPICC program at the conference booth, including live demonstrations of, Point-of-care HPV testing using self-collected samples, linkages with the canSCREEN digital health screening registry to support cervical cancer screening programs and the Elimination Planning Tool hosted on the IARC GLOBOCAN Observatory website: About the tool .”

To which Karen Canfell, Lead of Cancer Elimination Collaboration (CEC) at the University of Sydney, added:

“Congratulations Peter Sarich in our team for presenting key Australian data on Early Onset Cancer at the IARC60 conference yesterday!”
