Binay Shah: Deeply Meaningful Experience at Lagos
Binay Shah, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of Binaytara, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“My trip to Lagos, Nigeria, has been a deeply meaningful experience.
I was honored to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Medical Center, Ebute Metta, to collaborate on improving access to cancer care. This partnership marks an important step in our shared mission to strengthen oncology services, expand training opportunities, and build sustainable cancer care systems in Nigeria.
Beyond the signing, I had the privilege of experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria at the Nike Art Gallery, where I met its founder, the world-renowned artist Chief Nike Davies-Okundaye. Her passion for art and culture is truly inspiring.
I also connected with Dr. Tufia Haddad, a breast oncologist from Mayo Clinic who is in Lagos to participate in a prostate cancer meeting. Encounters like these remind me of the power of collaboration – whether across disciplines, institutions, or countries – in advancing global health.
A trip filled with culture, collaboration, and commitment to cancer care.”
