“Fantastic to be back at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) for Tara Muijlwijk‘s PhD defense. I was quite lucky to have Tara spend 3 months at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute / Providence Cancer Institute while doing some of her cancer immunotherapy research, and delighted to be on her thesis committee.
Currently, Dr. Muijlwijk is in Amanda Lund‘s lab at NYU Langone Health, working on melanoma and starting a Cancer Research Institute (CRI) fellowship.
Congrats to Tara on a very strong thesis and excellent formal defense. Tara’s mentors, Ruud H Brakenhoff and Rieneke van de Ven, had her well prepared.”
