“Last Thursday on a beautiful day Wilmot Cancer Institute, University of Rochester Medicine Department of Urology, and URochester Medicine Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology welcomed our newest faculty Fyza Shaikh, who joins us from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. We’re excited about the growing research program in genitourinary oncology which Fyza will strengthen through her studies in how the microbiome impacts immune responses to cancer and immunotherapy outcomes.

She’ll join a talented team led by David McConkey and Jean Joseph and including Jathin Bandari, Thomas L. Osinski, Chunkit Fung, and Brendan Guercio, among many others.

Welcome Fyza!”
