“Today, we hosted another successful ‘Multidisciplinary Excellence in Breast Cancer Care’ conference at Atrium Health Levine Cancer in Charlotte. The program featured timely updates across the breast cancer care continuum, including the treatment of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, the use of GLP-1 therapies, and practical strategies for managing toxicities associated with new targeted therapies, to name a few.
We began the day with our keynote speaker Dr. Sigrun Hallmeyer who highlighted the value of oncology pathways in supporting high-quality, value-based care. We concluded with an engaging, case-based panel discussion on hormone therapy for patients at high risk moderated by Meghan Steiner, Sasha Davenport and Dr. Mahala Spalsbury Mudiyam.
My sincere thanks to all of our speakers and my co-director Richard White for sharing their expertise and delivering thoughtful, practical updates-and to everyone who joined us in advancing multidisciplinary breast cancer care for our Advocate Health system.”
