“Dolly passed away at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center after a brief bout with cancer.
It was at that very same institution where I began my career in the cancer field, starting as a postdoc there in 2004 studying molecular causes of acute leukemia.
Dolly gave the world so many gifts. As a virologist turned cancer researcher turned cancer advocate, I am grateful for the example she set in being a champion for science and by investing in research.
She used her platform for good and we are all better for it.”
