Amanda Stucke, Principal, Health & Society, Lead, The Health Dividend Initiative at Economist Impact, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week, I had the privilege of participating in a session on Financing Global Cancer Care during London Global Cancer Week. The session brought together 30 of the most influential leaders in global oncology for a candid, solutions-focused discussion on one of the most pressing health challenges of our time. I was honoured to introduce Economist Impact’s Health Dividend Initiative, built on a simple but powerful premise: health should not be viewed as an economic burden but a strategic driver of societal and economic progress.
Through rigorous evidence, compelling storytelling, and cross-sector collaboration, the Health Dividend Initiative aims to reframe health investment as both a right choice and a fiscally responsible one. Over a multi-year, partner-driven journey, our goal is to help advance “the health dividend”– enabling inclusive, sustainable progress for communities around the world. The response to our new Initiative at cross-sector gatherings like last week’s at London Global Cancer Week has been energising. Our shared mission to advance health as a powerful engine for inclusive growth, innovation and resilient societies transcends sectors.
Now to focus on the work ahead…
