Aharon Tsaturyan: First Global Disease Registry Program Initiated from Armenia

Aharon Tsaturyan, Oncology Resident at Mikayelyan University Hospital, Research Fellow at Immune Oncology Research Institute and Medical Writer and Editor at OncoDaily, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today, I had the honor of presenting the BPDCN International Registry the first global disease registry program initiated from Armenia, dedicated to improving research and collaboration in a rare and aggressive blood cancer.

This initiative was launched by the Immune Oncology Research Institute (IMMONC) and led by Dr. Astghik Voskanyan, under the scientific direction of Prof. Gevorg Tamamyan, together with international collaborators committed to advancing rare disease research.

I am truly proud to share how a project developed in Armenia is now connecting physicians and cancer centers across 4 continents, transforming individual patient data into global scientific knowledge. A special thank you to Dr Robin Vicken Ohannessian for his dedication and for organizing such an inspiring Vickino Day that brought together innovation, science, and collaboration.

Grateful to be part of a team proving that innovation can start anywhere when science, collaboration, and purpose come together. Rare diseases are not rare when the world collaborates.”
