SITC 2024 Abstract Submissions are open!

Abstract submissions are now open for Regular, Young Investigator Award (YIA) and Immune Engineering Abstracts. Submit your ground-breaking research for consideration as an oral or poster abstract presentation at SITC 2024, the leading cancer immunotherapy and immunology conference.

SITC will offer 39 Young Investigator Awards, which recognize excellence in novel research and provide young investigators with the experience necessary for successful careers. All Young Investigator Award recipients will receive funds to assist with travel expenses for the 39th Annual Meeting.

New for SITC 2024

Call for Immune Engineering Abstracts

Abstracts that focus on immune engineering and related topics will be eligible for additional opportunities for poster and oral presentations during the Immune Engineering Workshop Pre-Conference Program on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Immune Engineering Abstracts must be submitted through the Regular or YIA submission portal by June 27 at 5 p.m. PDT. Abstract submitters will be able to select if they would like their abstract considered for the Immune Engineering Workshop within the submission portal.

Late-Breaking Abstracts – Clinical Only

Late-breaking Abstracts – Clinical Only (LBAs) must address interventional clinical trials in humans. The LBA submission period is July 15 – Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. PDT.

LBAs addressing basic science or translational data with no in-human studies will not be accepted.

Authors submitting an abstract of a basic science or translational study must submit their abstract by the Regular/YIA Abstract deadline of June 27 at 5 p.m. PDT.

If some results from the study are not available before the abstract submission deadline, authors are encouraged to submit an abstract by the deadline and include the new data in their abstract presentation.

YIA Abstract Information

Regular abstracts with primary and presenting authors that are students, postdoctoral research fellows, clinical fellows, or junior faculty with three or fewer years on staff and are current SITC members, may be eligible to receive a Young Investigator Award (YIA). YIA abstracts require a letter of recommendation as well as additional information regarding the percentage of contribution by the primary and presenting author.

Those selected for the Presidential Travel Award will be invited to give an oral abstract presentation during the Presidential Session from 1:30–2:55 p.m. CST on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024.

All YIA recipients will receive funds to assist with travel expenses to SITC 2024.

• 39 Young Investigator Awards are offered in conjunction with regular abstract submission – these awards help with covering the costs of travel by SITC through its Forward Fund.
• The Presidential Travel Award is given to the young investigator deemed to have the most outstanding oral abstract presentation; the recipient will be invited to give an oral abstract presentation during the Presidential Session on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024.
• All accepted abstracts will be published as a supplement in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer (JITC), the society’s global, open access, peer-reviewed journal.
• Multiple oral presentation opportunities available bringing more exposure to your research.
• The opportunity to present and discuss your research alongside luminaries in the immunotherapy field at the leading cancer immunotherapy and tumor immunology conference.
