Martin Zhu: CityUHK’s ‘Revolutionizing Climate Resistance’ project
Martin Zhu, Scientist at i2Cool Limited, made the following post on LinkedIn:
“Exciting News from our research team at CityUHK! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our groundbreaking products: cooling ceramics, pavements, and biodegradable textiles, all developed under the ‘Revolutionizing Climate Resistance’ project. This initiative has just received a significant funding boost through the new Research, Academic and Industry Sectors One-plus (RAISe+) Scheme, marking its debut in Hong Kong.
Our project focuses on next-generation radiative cooling technologies designed to combat the urban heat island effect and enhance climate resilience. These innovations are not just about sustainability; they represent a leap towards energy efficiency and supporting a greener community.
By integrating these cutting-edge materials into our urban infrastructure, we’re setting new benchmarks for global urban sustainability and fostering a synergy between academia and industry. Let’s make our cities cooler and more sustainable!”
