How a Clinical Trial Gave Molly a Second Chance at Life – Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation
Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Molly’s journey with a rare liver cancer began with a grim diagnosis at age 31. Despite enduring extensive treatment that led to remission, her cancer returned a year later and spread to her lungs.
“Survivability statistics for liver cancer terrified me,” Molly said. “I bought a beautiful silver dress to wear to my own funeral. Picked out the place I wanted my ashes to be spread.”
Molly’s story took a turn when she joined a groundbreaking clinical trial led by Conquer Cancer-funded researcher Dr. Marina Baretti. Now, Molly is celebrating one year anniversary of being cancer-free.
