Michael Sapienza: Introducing the Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Act
Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is proud to have worked with U.S. Representatives Representative Haley Stevens (D-MI) and Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) in introducing the Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Act, bipartisan legislation to expand awareness, screening, and early detection of colorectal cancer among individuals under 45.
Colorectal cancer is rising at alarming rates in young people, making early detection more important than ever. Together, we’re working to change that.

Michael Sapienza added an image highlighting a critical concern:
Colorectal Cancer is increasingly affecting young people, with nearly 60 new cases diagnosed daily in individuals under 40 – equating to one diagnosis every 25 minutes.
