Jyoti Nangalia: Time to expand our gene panel tests
Jyoti Nangalia, Group Leader in the Cancer, Ageing and Somatic Programme at the Sanger, shared a post by Wellcome Sanger Institute on X, adding:
“Great to see our latest work finally out today.
More mutated genes driving clonal haematopoeisis as we age with associated clinical consequences.
Time to expand our gene panel tests.”
Quoting Wellcome Sanger Institute’s post:
“Genes driving the growth of mutated blood cells have been identified.
The research sheds light on factors behind clonal haematopoiesis – a process linked to ageing and increased risks of blood cancers and cardiovascular disease.”
