Samantha Ziegel: That rainy day contact you might need one day

There are only a few topics in the world that truly light me up (in all the good ways). One of them is healthcare.
I’ve worked in healthcare for almost two decades. I love the patient connection. I enjoy breaking down systemic and people process issues. I thrive in the challenge of working with the technology.
But most importantly, I love empowering others to figure out how to navigate the system. It’s a real maze out there.
No one should face the system alone, especially in times of significant health changes such as a cancer diagnosis.
Today I met with an incredible human, Rochelle Prosser. She’s taken her family’s personal experiences (x2!!) with cancer and modeled it to help other families. If you or someone you know is going through a recent cancer diagnosis, exploring treatment options, or even has a family history they aren’t sure how to navigate, Rochelle’s team will be there to help.
She’s that rainy day contact I hope I never need. Given the current incidence rate of cancer, unfortunately **most of us will** need her.
Thank you, Rochelle for being the health care our system should be, truly person-centered and mission-driven.”
