Powerful message by Rebecca Shatsky: I carry them with me always in my heart

Rebecca Shatsky shared a post on X:

“I seem to lose my beloved patients in waves and this month has not been good. The waves of grief that pass over as I think of them and remember hugs and laughs and happy and sad moments are just a tiny fraction of what their families feel. I carry them with me always in my heart.

Talking to Chris Coyne about this today has brought on much needed tears I’ve been holding back just to forge ahead that needed to happen. I know I did everything I could, but it’s really hard not to relive every last moment you had with them and not wish you said something different.”
