Patient 5 months after having a limb sparing surgery for a parosteal osteosarcoma of his distal femur
This fun loving teenager is now 5 months after having a limb sparing surgery for a parosteal osteosarcoma of his distal femur. The femur and knee was reconstructed with a special modular segmental tumor prosthesis. His main hobby is lifting weights and going to the gym. It is fantastic to see him doing so well regaining all his motion and much of his strength so quickly. All coming from being in great shape and very strong prior to surgery and being super motivated after surgery woth physical therapy and exercising. Always #grateful to the parents who choose me and my oustanding team to take care of their children with cancer who need these major surgeries. It is the highest form of a compliment and I’m always appreciative. Always the biggest cheer leader for my patients also.
