The Findings from AICR and WCRF Research on World Breast Cancer Research Day
American Institute for Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Tomorrow is World Breast Cancer Research Day, and we are proud to share the findings from AICR and WCRF research. We looked at breast cancer outcomes and the link to weight, exercise and dietary patterns.
Researchers found that both maintaining a healthy body weight and being physically active can help prevent breast cancer and help improve survival after a diagnosis. They also found that healthy eating patterns reduce risk of death from breast cancer.
The research shows that eating more dietary fiber from whole grains, pulses, vegetables and fruits help improve survival. Soy foods such as tofu and edamame may reduce risk of death and breast cancer recurrence.
