I’m still here 7 years after being given a prognosis of less than a year – Laura Esfeller
3 years ago today, I received my 1st scan results after stopping cabometyx. It was the 1st of now several NED scans post-Cabo. My children were in middle school when I was diagnosed stage 4 and I cried thinking how I’d never see them finish high school. Now both are HS graduates and both will be in college starting this fall. 3.5+ years on Cabo was absolute hell, and I’m still on a ton of medications, but clinical research and modern cancer treatment mean I’m still here 7 years after being given a prognosis of less than a year. Grateful.
