Kenji López-Cuevas: Uniting Forces to Transform Childhood Cancer Care in Mexico
Kenji López-Cuevas, Founding President of Cancer Warriors of Mexico, Treasurer at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Grateful to Dr. Patricia Clark, Secretary of the General Health Council in Mexico, for this meeting and for her invitation to support the implementation of the upcoming National Medical Care Protocol (PRONAM) focused on childhood cancer care and on the early identification of symptoms for timely detection.
I also took the opportunity to congratulate her on the structuring and official publication of the six PRONAMs in Mexico, addressing:
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Systemic Arterial Hypertension
- Type 2 Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome
- Overweight and Obesity
- Vaccination throughout life
- Care during the first 1,000 days of life
From the Fundación Cáncer Warriors de México and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), we reaffirm our conviction that intersectoral commitment and collaboration with governments are essential to advance prevention, early detection, and the strengthening of public health nationwide.”
