Over 2,200 Screenings in One Week: PinkDrive’s Impactful Breast Cancer Drive in KwaZulu-Natal
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“UICC member PinkDrive has achieved an outstanding start to their Breast Cancer drive in KwaZulu-Natal, delivering essential health services to thousands of community members in just one week.
Week one outcomes include:
– 146 mammograms conducted
– 280 HPV/Pap smears performed
– 485 lung screenings completed
– 399 childhood cancer screenings provided
– 2,265 individuals reached in total
With the support from the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health and Rio Tinto, Pink Drive is extending access to life-saving screenings, raising awareness, and strengthening community health systems.
This initiative underscores the importance of cross-sector partnerships in addressing cancer prevention and early detection — ensuring that more people benefit from timely diagnosis and treatment.
Congratulations to Pink Drive and all partners for this impactful start.”
