How Reprogramming T Cell Energy Boosts Cancer-Fighting Power – Cancer Research Institute

Cancer Research Institute (CRI) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“New research from investigators, including Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) – CRI Immunotherapy Project Grantee Dr. Michael Berger at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, demonstrates a strategy to boost the immune system’s cancer-fighting ability by reprogramming how T cells produce energy.

The study, The Jerusalem Post describes, shows that disabling a protein called Ant2 in T cells enhances their effectiveness against tumors.

By forcing the cells to rewire their internal power supply, researchers effectively transformed T cells into stronger, faster, and more resilient cancer fighters.”
