The Max Foundation’s Program Coordinator in Coimbatore

The Max Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Meet Jyotiy Parameshwaran, our Program Coordinator in Coimbatore, India since 2016. Discover more about her and the role she plays on our team below

What do you enjoy most about working at The Max Foundation?

The deep sense of purpose it brings every single day. Being part of a mission that transforms lives and offers hope to people facing cancer is profoundly fulfilling. It’s not just work—it’s heart work, surrounded by a passionate team that truly believes in compassion, dignity, and access for all.

What is a special memory you have with patients?

One of my most cherished memories is from my very first Patient Support Group Meeting, held in my city. I will never forget the moment when patients—many I had only known through phone conversations—came up to me, held my hand, and introduced themselves with heartfelt warmth. It was a powerful reminder of why this work matters so much—because behind every call is a life, a story, and a bond waiting to be built.

What have you learned since working at The Max Foundation that you didn’t know previously?

I’ve come to deeply understand how trust, consistency, and clear communication are essential in supporting patients through their complex treatment journeys. My time at The Max Foundation has also taught me the true value of life and the gift of good health.

What languages do you speak?

I speak English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Punjabi, and I can understand Kannada and Gujarati for effective patient interactions.

What do you love most about where you live?

I love the peaceful atmosphere, pleasant weather, and how the city blends tradition with a calm, modern lifestyle.

When not working, what do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy cooking and love travelling to ancient temples—it gives me a sense of peace and connection to our rich heritage.

If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?

A tortoise, because they move at their own pace but never give up. I believe in steady progress, patience, and staying grounded no matter what life brings.”
