Julie Torode: Knowing Hepatitis Status is The First Step to Stopping Liver Cancer
Julie Torode, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Patient and Community Engagement, Institute of Cancer Policy at King’s College London, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Liver Cancer is one of the top cancer-killers in Africa: Knowing your hepatitis status is the first step to stopping liver cancer.
Most people living with hepatitis don’t know they’re infected. Early diagnosis is the first step to accessing life-saving treatment and preventing liver cancer.
Testing – is critical to ending hepatitis. Harness World Hepatitis Day on 28th on July to boost awareness of the link between hepatitis infection and cancer.”
