Andreas Charalambous: Fantastic Panel at the 2nd Synergies Forum on Cancer Policy, Research and Funding Strategies, Organized by ELLOK
Andreas Charalambous, Chair of the Department of Nursing at Cyprus University of Technology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What a fantastic panel I had the privilege to moderate namely ‘Integrating research projects into the real world’ at the 2nd Synergies Forum on Cancer Policy, Research and Funding Strategies, organized by Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK), the Hellenic Cancer Federation representing cancer patient associations.
Colleagues shared their experiences through their involvement in various EU Funded projects such as Incisive which generated an AI toolkit for enhancing cancer imaging, Life Champs Project, a project that supports elderly and aged cancer patients and their caregivers as well as healthcare professionals through an integrated Big Data-driven solution capable to improve their QOL via a timely and more accurate clinical decision support at the point of care, ALTHEA Project project that envisions the provision of high-quality, remote, psychological support through digital platforms, eCAN Plus Joint Action that develops telemomitoring and teleconsultation to support patients, and EUnetCCC – European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres where the aim of the European network of Comprehensive Cancer Centers (CCC) is to connect CCC structures across Europe in order to provide all patients with access to high-quality research and care structures.
Thank you, ELLOK, and thank you, George Kapetanakis, for the opportunity
Thank you to all the panelist for sharing their valuable insights.”
