Caitríona Duggan Presented Two Rapid e-posters at the MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting
Caitríona Duggan, PhD Candidate of Vascular access devices for systemic anti-cancer therapy at the University of Galway, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“My MASCC2025 Experience in Seattle!
I had the opportunity to present two rapid e-posters at the MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting—a hub of innovation in supportive cancer care! Here’s a snapshot:
- 1st Poster: Cochrane Systematic Review Protocol on Vascular Access Devices (VADs) for prolonged SACT.
- 2nd Poster: PRACTICE – Promoting a Research Agenda for Cancer Treatment with Intravenous Catheters in Europe.
Why It Matters:
- 70% of systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) is delivered intravenously.
- Choosing the right VAD isn’t just a clinical decision—it’s vital for treatment success, patient safety, and quality of life!
Huge Thanks to:
- My supervisor Peter Carr and co- supervisor Orlaith Hernon
- Irish Cancer Society for their funding and local support HSE West North West.
- The brilliant Co-Authors Nikolina Dodlek, Christina H. Ruhlmann, Raymond Chan & global nurse leaders Darcy Burbage, Jessica MacIntyre I connected with—your insights are invaluable!
Grateful to contribute to this vital conversation!”
