Silvana Perretta: EAES 2025 in Belgrade – A Week of Innovation and Collaboration in Surgical Endoscopy
Silvana Perretta, Director of Surgical Endoscopy Diploma at IHU University of Strasbourg, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Never tired of attending the EAES meeting—it’s a great week every year, and Belgrade 2025 was no exception. Always good to reconnect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and see the next generation grow.
Our team contributed to sessions on AI, transoral bariatric and metabolic approaches, rigid and flexible robotics, endoscopic management of complex surgical complications, foregut surgery, and new technology for monitoring surgical stress. We also directed the hands-on course in flexible endoscopy—still one of the most relevant platforms to introduce surgeons to therapeutic endoscopy.
It was a pleasure to introduce Bernard Dallemagne as speaker for the Jacques Périssat Lecture and to cheer him on for his Lifetime Achievement Award—a well-deserved recognition.
Special thanks to the fellows and team who presented excellent work and actively contribute to the EAES committees and commitments. I am very proud of each of you. The future of MIS is in really good hands.”
