Wafaa M Rashed: Future Leaders – Voices From the 8th Cohort – Rose Nasser
Wafaa M Rashed, Faculty Lecturer of pharmacy at the Ahram Canadian University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Future Leaders-Voices from the 8th Cohort | Dr. Rose Nasser
Policy Advocacy in Genetics and Genomics | PAPERI
We’re honored to share a personal reflection from Dr. Rose Nasser, one of our inspiring participants from Egypt, who joined the 8th Cohort of the Policy Advocacy in Genetics and Genomics course led by PAPERI.
‘At first, I wasn’t sure what policy advocacy meant — now I see it’s something I’ve already been doing, and I’ve learned how to do it better.’
From regulations and research to stakeholder engagement and bioethics, Dr. Rose’s journey is a testament to how young professionals across Africa are being equipped to lead change in genomic policy and health innovation.
She will also be debating a hot topic:
‘Should patenting human genes be outlawed?’
Join her on June 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM Cairo Time
Let’s continue to empower and amplify emerging leaders like Rose — bold, thoughtful, and committed to transforming the future of health and science in Africa.”
