Muhammad Umair Mushtaq: From Love to Global Good in Hematology
Muhammad Umair Mushtaq, Associate Professor of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics at the University of Kansas Medical Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“From Love to Global Good
At the Mikael Rayaan Foundation, we honor the memory of Mikael and Rayaan by bringing hope and healing to families worldwide.
Through our Global Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Consortium, we’re building bridges between countries to expand access to life-saving therapies, such as bone marrow transplant and CAR T-cell therapy. With partners in Pakistan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Tunisia, we’re strengthening healthcare systems, advancing research, and creating opportunities for patients who otherwise have no options. Our training initiatives, in partnership with the University of Kansas Medical Center, are equipping physicians from low- and middle-income countries with the skills, mentorship, and networks they need to bring back home. The Global Research Training Initiative inspires future leaders in Hematology and Oncology — mentoring over 300 students, residents, and fellows.
None of this is possible without our friends and community. Philanthropy fuels this work, ensuring that every gift becomes a seed of compassion and impact.
Our vision: to make Kansas City a hub of global health innovation and equity. Mikael and Rayaan’s legacy lives on in every life touched.
Join us.”
