Day 2 of the European Week Against Cancer is all about Screening – Association of European Cancer Leagues
Association of European Cancer Leagues shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Day 2 of the European Week Against Cancer is all about screening!
Early detection through screening can help save lives. But not everyone in Europe has the same access to cancer screening.
Your postcode can affect if – and how early – cancer is detected. We need strong policy action to close this gap.
Learn more from the European Cancer Inequalities Registry, an important initiative from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (EU Science, Research and Innovation) and department for EU Health and Food Safety.”
The Association of European Cancer Leagues marked the second day of the European Week Against Cancer by spotlighting disparities in access to cancer screening across Europe. Their message emphasized the role of geography in detection outcomes and urged policy reforms based on findings from the European Cancer Inequalities Registry.
