Intravenous magnesium (IV Mg) should be prioritized in:

Women under 65 years old with an eGFR ≥90 and baseline serum magnesium levels of 2.0–2.2 mg/dL.

Patients receiving low doses of cisplatin (<50 mg).

Patients with diabetes.”
