Sitna Ali Mwanzi Highlights Cancer Patient Navigation Work in Kenya
Sitna Ali Mwanzi, Head of Department Cancer Treatment Centre at Kenyatta National Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Hot off the press.
Self navigating the often not so straightforward healthcare system when a patient has a chronic and expensive diagnosis is a challenge for most patients, especially if they are new to the city. The patient navigation programme at the Kenyatta National Hospital Cancer Treatment Centre has shown that navigation helps cancer patients start, continue and complete treatment because they can understand their diagnosis and treatment plan better.
Kudos to the KNH team and the American Cancer Society for years of impactful work.”
